Early start for a Minneapolis show. Needed to beat curfew so Salsa dance night could happen. I haven't heard Shade Of Grey or Winners for a while so that was nice. Some of the older Ratdog tunes have some great lyrics. On Hell in a Bucket, Bobby missed the words a little (no surprise) but got the crowd pumped and ready to roll. Too bad set break soon followed. Second set opener was incredibly good. The BT Wind was as good as the Other Ones' version from Alpine. Cassidy almost could be called Space; right before Bird Song they went out there for a while with Mark Karan leading the way. Dear Prudence Bobby had the crowd working as hard as he was. Standing on the Moon was also incredible. That leads to China Cat > Rider. The boys did some different chord progressions at the middle point where the songs change. It was cool to see Bobby holding up hand signals for what the chord changes were and at times yelling out. I almost thought they were going to avoid Rider all together but it came back. Gloria was an interesting encore in the fact that I haven't heard of them doing it that much, but it worked to everyone's advantage because that one put a nice cap on the night. Great show overall. Ratdog has grown so much in the last 2 1/2 years culminating at Alpine for the reunion. Now they're riding the intensity that they have built.
