3/28/2005 Setlist, Photos, and Reviews

Listening since 1978. 65 degree day! 7:30 start time. A fluid jam into Shakedown. Shake them bones! Shakedown flows into Big River "met her accidentally, in St. Paul,Minnesota." The crowd feels it. The dog is out for a romp! Ship of Fools sends a shiver through our spines. Bobby sings it great. The Music Never Stopped jams to our delight then transforms into a wonderful Mission in the Rain, raising the hair on the back of our necks! The rendition of Loose Lucy makes us feel as though Jerry's spirit is with us in the theatre. Lucky Enough is fragmented a bit with missed lyrics but Ramble on Rose gets us back on the train tracks with 1000 souls professing the chorus! An excellent West L.A.Fadeaway jam ends the first set @ 9:00P.M. One and a half hours of pure bliss!!!!

The second set takes off around 9:30 into an acoustic jam that evolves into a beautiful Blackbird. Blackbird rolls to a solid Black-Throated Wind. A welcomed Corrina melts us into a dance trance thoroughly enjoyed. "Shake it up Baby." Bobby then gives a nod toward Minnesota-bred Bob Dylan with a reading of Queen Jane which transitions into the highlight of the show, an amazing mind-blowing jam of Eyes for the ears. Highlighted with an extraordinary soprano saxophone solo from Kenny. WOW!!!! This guy can blow!!!! As we reached the summit, the only way back was down the other side of the mountain and into a group Drumz/Jam melding to another Dylan gem, "Knockin on Heaven's Door." Could it get any better? With the first strums of Help On The Way,the answer was yes, yes it can! The Help/Slipknot/Franklin's Tower classic set the hall on fire causing folks to reach for their mixed drinks, beer, and water! A sweet and satisfying Ripple poured us into the warm sring air contemplating a way to get off work as to experience the shows in Madison and Milwaukee. Bobby, thanks kindly for walking the dog way up north for us tundra dwellers. Hoping to see ya all again in the DEAD of summer!
