Re: Some classic Humble Pie

I used to play the hell out of Rockin’ the Fillmore back in high school. Haven’t listened to them in a long time.

Thanks for the reviews- I probably will go - the price is right and the venue small.

Sam Grisman Project

Has anyone here see them? I just noticed he’s playing by me at the Narrows Center, and after hearing the guys on Tales from the Golden Road rave about them, I’m thinking about checking them out. Been on a bluegrass kick in the last year seeing Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Bela Fleck and Sierra Hull ...

Re: Skull and Roses Festie Cancelled

I looked in on a few webcasts last year and the crowd looked very sparse. I’m surprised they thought this festival was sustainable if 2023 was financially devastating :shrug

Re: Ratdog 1st Show

Is that with Jay Lane? Yes - I just checked my program- they were billed as Bob Weir & Rob Wasserman (with drummer Jay Lane). Looks like Matt Kelly on harmonica per my brother’s pictures. They were 3rd on the bill after headliner Mary Chapin Carpenter and John Hiatt. There is a recording on Sugarme...

Re: Ratdog 1st Show

I went to supposedly the 4th Ratdog show at Newport Folk Festival and they weren’t billed as Ratdog. Pretty sure the program I have just lists the names of the band members. My brother took some awesome pictures right on the rail!

Re: You and I travel to the beat of a different drum

Was lucky that I've been dragging my gf, now wife, to shows since 1978 and did practically the whole '83 Spring tour in my van. After we got married in '84 she decided she did not want to spend whole vacations going to GD shows, so at Ventura '85 and Miami '89 we only went to 1 of 2 shows after trav...

Christina’s character/acting in Dead to Me on Netflix is top notch. That is one if my favorite shows over the past few years.

Wow - that was great!! I saw Zep when they played MSG in June 1977 and remember Jones playing a triple neck guitar during the acoustic portion of the show 🎸

Buddy really goes nuts on their live album Home, Home on the Road - my favorite NRPS album produced by Jerry.
Still looking for a recording of my first show 10/1/77 at SUNY @ Geneseo :guitar

Great show - we were taping from the riser on the rear of the floor and it was the first time I noticed that MSG literally bouncing when you have thousands dancing. Excellent Scarlet>Fire and who can forget that Half Step!!

I wouldn’t be surprised if this turns out to be one of those Live Nation $25 shows - I’ve seen them in ‘76 at Nassau and they played for free on the beach here in Newport- wasn’t impressed by either show. The closest they are playing is Mansfield which is always a shitshow getting in and out of ](*,)

69 - first show Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City, 1972.
Did you go to the July or September show? Both great looking setlists. Was only at that place once in 74 for CSNY.
