Re: Tuna & Susan Boston 11/28

Still always a treat to see Jack and Jorma playing together, nice to see Jorma playing a couple guitars I have not seen him play before as well (ES-345 and Jazzmaster). I think I have seen him play the red Gibson. That odd tan one off to Jorma's left he played the last time I saw him. Solid body wi...

Well Fairport 2008 anyway. Sandy Denny long dead. Fairport without Richard Thompson also a lot less interesting

Re: RIP Stephen Sondheim

My father listened to two soundtrack albums lying on the living room floor in front of our old 1950's style stereo cabinet: My Fair Lady and West Side Story, which was Sondheim's first lyricist job. I still know all the words to all the songs from both of them.

Sandy Denny
Yes. I bet everyone here has listened to that song on that album 100 times. But she is probably not a common name to most folks here. Probably before the time of many here, plus she died young and is gone a long time. Awesome voice though.

Very nice Jack :clap
I really enjoyed that
Cool. That's Rhiannon Giddens whom I adore. The tune is by Elizabeth Cotton which was the inspiration for the one that Robert Hunter wrote.

Re: nice van

That vehicle looks pretty rare Jack Is it a conversion from an original van or factory built that way? I like the color as well After all I am Irish ☘️ That's factory built, Kezzy. They didn't make them like that for long. It's actually a Corvair. There's a Corvair for sale on a used car lot around...

Re: Any beer drinkers here?

I think it’s important to add that Hill has won Best Brewer in the World from Ratebeer for many years now. Not according to this list form the Ratebeer site https://www.ratebeer.com/beerstyles/ipa/17/ Don't know #1, #2 is Two Hearted, which has been #1 at some other site for like 4 years in a row. ...

Not a big Goose Island fan. Last week I heard that that somebody bought out Bell's. Hope they don't fuck it up. It doesn't get any better than Bell's Two Hearted.

NM IPA Challenge this afternoon. Taste (blind) 16 local IPAs then vote for your favorite. I've done it a few times in the past, but it has been on hold for a couple years due to Covid.
