Re: Dune

Hey Sue

The new one is really done up right, although you don't see much of the worms yet, just a couple of huge mouths. And if you haven't heard, only the first half of the book is covered. We have to wait for the second half.

Re: OT. Alec Baldwin story

There is a place near where I live called Wild West City. They have a old west type town and people come and pay money to see a Cowboy and Indian show. About 15 years ago, this same thing happened. One of the actors took a bullet between the eyes. He survived but is wheel chair bound in a nursing h...

Dune

Dune is one of my all-time favorite books. I have probably reread it as many times as I have read LOTR. Watched the new movie last night and it is really remarkably good. Makes me just shake my head at how badly David Lynch fucked up the old one.

I’m not rushing out to get my J&J booster yet…and I’m certainly not mixing sh!t up either. I’ll let others have a chance first.
I'll booster my J&J with another J&J next week. Hopefully I can repeat what I did last time at a small local pharmacy

Re: Booster Covid shot

I want to know why the govt was so adamant about getting both shots from the same company, but now that there's a booster it's just as well to get it from the opposite company. The research at the time probably didn't yet adress the question of mixing vaccines, only how effective the different vacc...

Waiting on the final okay from the state and what local rules will be. I got my first one at a small local pharmacy. Wife got hers cattle-call style at the state fairgrounds.

RIP Peter Scolari

Sumbitch - dude was my age. We enjoyed him in Bosom Buddies back before Tom Hanks got all famous (and with Dan Ackroyd's babe of a future wife)

Not far from here. Very popular movie set, used in many movies over the years. You have all seen it.

I only saw them once, in 1974 right after the first album and Free Bird. I reckon it was their ever tour out of the south. Four bucks and the opening act was a movie. True story.

Re: We gonna rock down to Electric Avenue

As Sec of Defense Donald Rumsfeld once famously said, "As we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know."
