So, I just went to the FB post about the fundraiser and asked for an update. David Gans has answered in the past. If he answers, I will post again. Here's the fundraiser. No idea how it is going https://cloudsurfing.gdhour.com/fundraiser-for-robin-sylvester?fbclid=IwAR0ieyLkNzQizKTmYLEGJd1yECJD7v9dl...

Re: Fundraiser for Robin Sylvester

If you take one, just one , item from the Sotheby's auction you could finance Robin with no problem Lets face it a speaker cabinet from some tour in the seventies which is relatively garbage could do it They are selling a lot of junk for high prices. Why not donate one item with a suspected price t...

The Weireverywhere thread that was begun by Bendicon and is now moved to Jamaica is an intense retrospective of largely past .orgers. Holy cow !

Re: RIP McCoy Tyner

Someone told me back when I was about 17 that Jerry was into jazz. The place I bought my first decent guitar,Lark St. Music had some albums for sale. A young jazz guitarist died and his mom brought a bunch of his stuff in. I think he died in a car crash. The albums I got were by McCoy,Groove Holmes,...

Re: post videos of you playing

Ha ! That guy is super talented. I'm betting those are his arrangements. That stuff would be as hard as anything I have ever learned. I think I'd rather listen to him and play crude party versions of GD songs myself. :ratdog One song that I dew want to work up for the cello/guitar duet is FOTD. The ...
