NEWSFLASH!

Bobby is fully Worshipful.
Not too far short of playing some of these songs twice as long as Jer. Instead of feeling left behind, he felt an obligation to push the train ahead. Some of the songs we love to hear him sing SO much, he didn't start singing until 1998 or later. Do the math.
What we hold close, what we love so much, the shit that sometimes guides us. Bob has had plenty of a hand in defining that in your (our collective) psyche.
Slow, fast, it ends up being laughly inconsequential.
Bob has earned every bit of what happens to come his way.

Obligatory IMO.

It just dawned on me, I don't believe they played O.M.S.N. In Foxboro, I know there was a rain delay but unless I missed something I'm kinda surprised this did not get played.

Bobby is their Jerry...
Was just gonna say this. He very much is. To youngsters that didn't get to see Jers. They love and FOR LACK OF A BETTER TERM worship Bobby as we did Jerry.
I got to see Jerry 11 times before he died. I was outside of Hampton Beach on 8/9/95. The fact the Bob Weir played that show the way he did was so amazing to me. I felt like I was at Jerry’s wake with Bob Weir that night. We just kept it rolling once they started up the Furthur Fest tours in 96 and 97. Bob became the next best thing for me. I love just about everything he does. Also got big into Phish and Dylan.
Its a dark shade of sunlight that flickered on top of my coffee yesterday.....

Missing Billy. Jay is great but less and less of an original band of course. Second (most of the show) set was pretty consistent, St. Stephen had a powerful long jam in it, Estimated seemed on point for today's world, and Morning Dew was short but very strong.

We headed to Hampton that night hoping to score tix. Nope. Other than House Of Blues, Club Casino is my least favorite room in New England but they did us right that night, putting a ton of speakers outside. We hung in the back lot all night. You're right, it was our wake for Jerry. One of the most surreal nights of my life.

It looks like the person in the back, by their lonesome, has a dog in a backpack on their shoulder

Hey, that's my dog! And that's the woman who stole my dog! Oh, well, Fluffy's obviously having a good time. She can keep him.
