Re: Welcome to the World: Vibes Needed
Hi everyone,
Just a quick note; we're settled into Hopkins and I feel a lot better about everything. Great doctors (and more of them) here and she's back on track now with a much more fine tuned plan of action.
Thank you for the continued vibes!

Keeping you all in my daily prayers!! Hopkins is top notch - they managed to get my hubster walking after other dr's said he'd have permanent paralysis.

Re: Welcome to the World: Vibes Needed
Below is from a friend of my wife. When I heard about this story I though of this thread and that darling baby.
Dear friends,
Please pray for my brother Henry and his wife Yenni. Their baby boy was born in Jakarta by caesarian yesterday (28 Feb) and looks like baby's passage to the stomach is blocked, possibly having some missing internal organs, and he doesn't have anus. Doctors thought he won't be able to digest anything, so baby is only on oxygen, no milk or nutrient drip since he was born yesterday afternoon.
Based on doctor's advice my brother, wife and the rest of the family decided not to do anything and just waiting for God to take the baby away - doctor said baby was too weak to be operated on and asked the family to spare baby from more pains. However, it's been a day & baby is still alive!! Last I heard the doctor might try putting a camera into his throat and see the inside of his. I hope all his inner parts are all there, so they could operate him as soon as possible if necessary.
Please pray for God's mercy, peace, comfort, strength and miracles during this time of trouble. Nothing is impossible for God! Even if worse come to worst, He is still in control! In our weakness His strenght is made perfect.
Thanks and feel free to forward this to people you know, to help praying for the baby - I don't know what's his name yet. I'll try to update you if and when I heard more news, communicating with my parents in Indonesia has been difficult from where we are (Cairns, Australia).
In Christ,
Helen

Re: Welcome to the World: Vibes Needed
an update:
Dear friends,
Thank you so much for your prayers. I just received the news that baby Max passed away peacefully at about 10pm yesterday (1 March). My dad said Max's face looked very peaceful and happy. His parents had been cuddling him since 2pm, everytime someone kissed Max he would opened his eyes and smiled at the person. Based on the xray, looked like half of his lungs wasn't working properly and doctor would have had to make a cut in his neck if they were to operate on him. Hard as it seems, the fact that baby Max smiled all the way through his last hours gave all of us comfort & peace knowing that he left in peace and that he's with God now.
His funeral would be at 10am today (2 March). Please continue to pray for Henry, Yenni, and their family. They're all born again Christians, so they know they'll meet Max again someday.
Thanks again for praying.

Ive got a dream. Its about singing dancing and making people happy. Its the kind of dream that gets better the more people you share it with. I've found a whole bunch of friends who have the same dream. And, well, it kind of makes us like a family.~Kermit

(((Max & Family)))
I've just read and this made me cry. The struggle and unknowns of complicated pregnancies, deliveries, and thereafter is one of the hardest journeys.
Ours journey continues. We've acclimated well at Hopkins, met other parents in similar and yet unique situations. Avery is a slow weight gainer (b/c of her heart), but did hit 3 lbs last night.
I pray for the children, nurses, and families in this world who struggle with this experience and who hope for a bright future.
