Hi Everyone,

An update:

Well it's been 10 days now since birth (week 28 gestationally speaking) and Avery has had her ups and downs. Lots of medical issues that are considered normal but need to be watched. Overall, the four major systems/organs that are under constant supervision are heart, brain, lungs, and stomach. Each has it's own complication and remedy, so to speak. But overall she is progressing fairly well and shows great energy when awake. And she's definitely getting more rest and relaxation than me. Here's a pic I just took today:

We have had several Premature babies in our life. Family and friends. All are doing very well now. There is a ton to learn and a ton of support out there.

A former neighbor of mine gave birth at this exact age. Corrine is now a thriving and silly 3rd grader!
