^Thanks for the heads-up on the venue. I noticed the forecast looked hot but hopefully the humidity is low. I live in Kentucky so I know the heat is like being in a sauna during the summer. I think it'll be a comfortable 90 (hopefully).
The Hollywood Casino is 1-mile west of the venue in St. Louis. The Casino offers a shuttle bus to the show. The bus drops you off at a side gate to the venue and picks you up there. This is a quicker way to enter the venue and avoid the lines at the main gate. A round-trip ride is $15 per person. Parking is free at the Casino. Parking is also free at the venue.

I think I remember looking at reservations there but it was pretty expensive. I ended up booking two nights at the Holiday Inn nearby. The reviews aren't great but as long as it's not in a ghetto and has a working TV and AC we'll be happy. Should be a quick Uber to the show.

^ Ive stayed in every blue light cheap hotel... lol

Ive stayed in some pretty shaddy places, never had an issue. I have issues at the more expensive hotels, one hotel I stayed at we had two connecting rooms and they saw a 9th person come into those two rooms (only 8 people blah blah blah) and called the phone in the room and told us we had too many people in the room ! Id rather stay at a shit hole that leaves ya alone than a place that has too much interest in my business. Thats just me tho.

All i need is a bed and im good to go.

^We stayed at a Knights Inn in Nashville a few years ago when Weir and Chris Robinson played the Ryman. Pretty shitty place on the other side of the river from downtown. When I was checking in, a hooker was giving me the eye from outside the entrance. When we got in the room and was smoking up before the show I was looking out the window and she was roaming the parking lot with her pimp. When the coast looked clear, we opened the door to leave and she came busting in. "Damn guys it smells good in here, let's party!"

About the only issue I've had traveling and it was a minor one. Just glad the pimp didn't come into the room waving a gun.

The venue is 1-mile from the Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn where you're staying is in Earth City, Mo. Its not in a ghetto area. The old St. Louis Rams practice facility next to McDonald's is near the hotel. When the Rams played in St. Louis I would go watch the players practice during the preseason at Rams Park in Earth City. The St. Louis Blues hockey team have their practice facility between the venue and the casino. St. Louis Music Park a brand new outdoor concert venue just opened a couple months ago. It is also located between the Amphitheatre and the Casino.

If you're arriving on Sunday, and looking for something to do, take a quick Uber ride across the bridge to St. Charles, Mo. Main Street St. Charles has lots of great restaurants and shops to visit. There is also a casino in St. Charles near Main Street. Ameristar Casino.

Clearly, a lot of these venues didn't sell many tickets to begin with (I'm looking at you, Cincinnati) and there's going to be drops at some point. The unsold VIPs and Platinums will go to face value the week of the show like always, but has anyone had success with a random TM drop before then?

I'm going to be checking frequently since I'm working from home anyway. And I know TM drops them but was hoping to pinpoint a timeframe.

FYI...there's still face value pits left for the Virginia show. They're pricey but face. Not the Platinum bullshit.
What’s the cheapest pit tix on tour? Is it all $260 + fees?
too much of everything is just enough
