Phil Cap Line Ups

Post by Buck » Tue Sep 07, 2021 11:19 am

Gather round! We’ve got something new to say about The Capitol Theatre’s nine-night October run with Phil Lesh & Friends.

Our first journey begins with Phil Lesh Quintet on October 11 - 13! Phil will be joined by Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, John Molo, and Rob Barraco to create The Q, the longest running incarnation of Phil Lesh & Friends.

Next up, Phil Lesh will be joined by a rotating lineup on October 18 - 20. Phil’s “Friends” features Stuart Bogie, Amy Helm (October 18 and 20), Eric D. Johnson, Josh Kaufman, Grahame Lesh, Elliott Peck (October 19), Joe Russo, and Benmont Tench.

Lastly, Phil-o-Ween’s stacked roster features Nicki Bluhm, Larry Campbell (October 31), members of Dawes including guitarists Taylor Goldsmith and Trevor Menear, drummer Griffin Goldsmith and keyboardist Lee Pardini, Phil’s son and our dear friend Grahame Lesh, M.C. Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger (October 29 - 30), and Teresa Williams (October 31).

We're mighty pleased to announce these stellar lineups. Gather up your Grateful tribe because the music never stopped.

Thanks. The Oct 29-31 run is really confusing as written. I like Dawes a lot so hopefully they are on for the 29th, which I have a ticket for.

Way jealous of the Oct 11-13 ticket holders.

Be grate to see the Q again but will they practice? Sorry to be a downer but Phil’s brand of music works best when they react to each other musically.

Can’t do that well if you just walk on stage after X amount of years

I wish he had the same lineup for the whole run. Then their would be real hope that the latter shows would be great.

I’m not expecting fireworks from the Q. I’ll be happy just hearing that particular sound coming from this group. They are all pros, so it definitely won’t be a trainwreck. Will it be like the 4/20/01 show? Probably not!
It’s unbelievable that the Q peaked 20 YEARS ago!!

Headband shows are usually tight due to Headband being there.
