God bless :(

We were driving back from North Andover, Ma. today and every overpass on Route 93 had a tribute for 9/11 and Sgt. Johanny Rosario who was killed in the suicide bomb attack in Kabul a few weeks ago. It was so touching. Every electronic sign on the Massachusetts highways had a "Rest in Peace Sgt. Rosario - Semper Fi. Thank you for your service". Great job Massachusetts!

It's the most somber day.
May we all learn to live together.

I was able to make it to our towns remembrance service at the local 9/11 monument and I am sure glad I did, very moving.....I dont get angry over much but the senselessness of that day never fails to ignite a darker side and I dont like it...but the darkness has to give and so much pride for our country and the everyday heroes that surround us was everywhere yesterday and it was awesome... I was able to thank the gentlemen who had the memorial built on the way out which was nice.....cranked "liberty" driving through town..yikes..oooooooooohhhhhh.....freedom

heres a little backstory of the memorial in americas hometown .......
"What makes this impressive memorial even more impressive is that it was built with private funds, and it reportedly was the first monument to bear the names of every single person killed on 9/11 -- in New York, Shanksville, and at the Pentagon.

It features seven black granite slabs engraved with the names - the police, the firefighters, the office workers, the flight crews and the airline passengers.

There is also a 9/11 steel beam and figures of a firefighter and police officer.

It was dedicated on September 11, 2004 and was created by local businessman Richard J. Quintal, Jr. In fact, the memorial is located at his produce store on South Spooner Street.

Quintal was so deeply affected by 9/11 that he took out a mortgage to fund the lion's share of the $85,000 cost. The shortfall came from private donations.
It's a spectacular sight. The plaza also includes ten flagpoles with all sorts of flags, including one for each branch of the armed services. There is a gorgeous etching of the pre-9/11 skyline prominently showing the Twin Towers, there is a quote from Mayor Giuliani ( actually sounding sane)about courage and patriotism and freedom, and there are benches to sit and reflect.

By the way, what did Mr. Quintal, Jr. do to mark the tenth anniversary of 9/11 Day?

He had a tattoo of the towers inked onto his arm."

Peace and comfort to those who lost loved ones that Day. Support and recognition to those who passed in the towers. There to help who they could. Those still Dying and paying for trying to recover who they could that day and for many days after. Lots of money collected for those now, out of sight out of mind. Time for healing and fixing.
