He was, that was great! Knew they had to bring it out for one of these shows on the Mississippi. I'm guessing more river songs to come, maybe a Black Muddy for encore? And they have to do Black Throated Wind for the city of blues!

Caught the first set. Looked like Bob was playing John’s sob rock pink guitar? Did he he new one. It certainly wasn’t his old one

Bob looked to be having a blast in the first set. I was good to see

The set list is made as I'm watching it on line not before the show

My opinion:

Drums through the rest of the show was the best I've heard them sound in a long time!
...there's a silver ocean, silver clouds on a silver sea
bird on the horizon, silver wingin' back to me...

For the record, that's all I've heard so far. I can't wait to hear the rest of this special show!

The boys blew the roof off the place!!! A very uptempo show with an amazing set list with songs played pertaining to the City of St. Louis. There was about a 1-mile long Shakedown in the back of the lot. It was the largest Shakedown I have ever seen at a show!!! The show looked to be sold out. I missed the first two songs Iko Iko & Cold Rain & Snow due to the long lines waiting to enter the venue. There was a moment in the middle of Cold Rain & Snow when ppl started rushing the gate when they saw one line moving quicker than the line they were standing in. Bob was barefoot for all of Set 2. Oteil used a bar stool to sit down on for a few songs in the middle of Set 2. Billy, Jeff & Oteil wearing huge smiles on their faces for much of the show. Mickey looking like Spock from Star Trek. Mickey also was playing an instrument during drums that looked like it was from the deck of the Starship Enterprise. Bobby played a conductor directing an orchestra of 19,000 Deadheads to sing the lyrics to Terrapin Station. Bobby and Jeff index finger signals pointing upwards happened a couple times during the show. Never miss a Grateful Dead related show in St. Louis!!!

Thanks for the play by play bro!
Ok It’s nice to get the vibe from you
On a different note…Oteil seems to be one cool cat…his tyedyes are some of the best I’ve ever seen right ?? The purple one he wears playin the cool purple ankh bass was trippy ! and he fits right in with the wizards behind the drumz I mean not just anybody plays drums with those 2 powerhouses right? and his guitar playin is so smooth

Aren’t we a lucky bunch to have these boys play for us during such dark times
You all are very comforting to us deadheads
Merci beaucoup
xoxo

I did not know this: “Shakedown Street” "Weir tossing off a lyrical reference to the Commodores’ “Brick House.”

Black Muddy River was supposed to be the encore in St. Louis, but they didn't have enough time to play it before the venue's 11pm curfew.
