The Beatles Get Back on Disney+

Post by Rich » Thu Nov 11, 2021 8:50 am

Looks like up until 11/14(a few days from now), one can subscribe to Disney+ for $1.99 first month, and can cancel. So I'm thinking one could watch 11/25,26,27th for the Beatles documentary for 1.99.

Go the link below, when you click "Get Disney+" it takes you to the offer. Fine print states 7.99 after the first month "unless you cancel your subscription before then".

https://www.disneyplus.com/series/the-b ... cWEeWVqrkE

*Disney+ offer valid until 11:59 PM PST on 11/14/21 and only for new Disney+ subscribers and returning Disney+ subscribers with no current active entitlement, who are 18 years of age or older. Upon redeeming this offer, you will be enrolled in an auto-renewing monthly subscription of Disney+ and you will be charged the then-current retail price (currently $7.99/month plus tax (where applicable)) on a monthly basis beginning at the end of your 1-month promotional offer unless you cancel your subscription before then. Additional Disney+ Day offer terms apply. **The Disney Bundle terms apply.
AND LEAVE IT ON!

I'm guessing not a fan of the MCU or Star Wars & don't have grandkids who want to watch Coco 11 times before they leave. 🤣

This site is not paywalled and has pretty good entertainment (sports/tv) contributers.

This starts tomorrow. I thought it was the weekend.

Disney + isn't a bad service at all. Its worth the money IMO. Especially if you have kids in the house.

In a thread relating to the current marketing situation, somebody on here recently asked "how long until Disney buys the GD?" .... may not be too long by the looks of things. Just an observation.

Yeah, loving this. Watched the first hour and a half. National holiday getting in my way, but will have time to finish episode one tonight.

Paul creating Get Back right in front of our eyes is my favorite moment so far, but it is all fantastic.

Peter Jackson's story telling brilliance on full display as this works on so many levels- music moments, personal moments, business moments, characters emerging. Enlightening to see how this band viewed themselves and was managed and compare to the dead in long strange trip. Completely different worlds, levels of fame, and approaches. One wonders what might have been if the Beatles had a different support group.

I can't wait to watch the 2nd part after work tonight. My favorite part of the 1st was John telling George to change the lyric in All Things Must Pass from "a wind can blow those clouds away" to "a mind can blow those clouds away."

It's hard to believe this treasure trove of footage sat around for over 50 years. It looks amazing too. Looks like it was filmed last week.

Makes you wonder what else is sitting in vaults. What else ended up on the cutting room floor which should be explored now. Such as:

Stones Gimme Shelter, they filmed 3 complete shows and some studio work in Muscle Shoals. Plus where is the CSNY set?

Grateful Dead @ RCMH, didn't they film several shows?

Zeppelin, we didn't get all the footage from the 2 MSG shows.

Last Waltz, wasn't that like 6 or 8 hours of music?

There's definitely stuff that got cut from the Last Waltz. I know Dylan's got a song or two that didn't make the film, and he'd probably be pissed even now if it was released.

Speaking of Dylan, pretty cool to see the Beatles mess around with Quinn the Eskimo and George play a snippet of I Shall Be Released.
