Post by Buck » Thu Nov 18, 2021 11:25 am

Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros are set to release their first ever vinyl collection of recorded material "Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros: Live In Colorado" out February 18th, available now for digital pre-save and pre-order. In addition to digital, CD and standard black double vinyl versions, the 2xLP album will also be made available on electric tie-dye vinyl with a screen print insert (available to Third Man Records Vault members in the Vault Novelties store or for purchase at the Bob Weir Shop) and on big river blue/weight of gold double disc vinyl at independent record stores.

Listen to “New Speedway Boogie” from the album here:

The album features a collection of songs recorded at the band’s live performances at the historic Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado and the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Colorado from June 8-12, 2021. These shows were the group’s first live audience concerts in over a year.

AWESOME!!! Really looking forward to this release. The band was on point during this short run of shows.
Now how about some Feb/March dates!

This link has some comments from Weir and Was and what appears to me to be a partial track list. Brother Esau is on there.

I mean I buy most any vinyl and grabbed this, but figure it’s digital recording > analog, doesn’t make a lot of sense.

I would be psyched for this but having the SBDs from all 4 shows already I'm not seeing any incentive... unless they have some rehearsal stuff or something. I guess if you don't have the shows the compilation they make will be nice.

Maybe, hopefully, this is a start of good things to come. I hope to see more official releases like this. “One can only hope!””

Maybe a compilation for the vinyl, but I don't understand why they don't just release each show for digital download as they have for other shows.

FYI: The tie-dye pressing is currently available for purchase. It was said to be sold out the day this was announced, but there are now some available. I just snagged one. I'm glad I waited
