Keystone Palo Alto with the Midnights a few times in the early 80’s and the Kabuki in SF.
I liked the Kabuki. For some reason it was the only place I ever saw Little Steven and Clarence Clemmons, twice each, but never anybody else.
I forgot about the Kabuki. Saw Garcia and Kahn there in 84. Santana too, THAT was some sick shit.

Place held 700 people at the time. It's now a movie theater (I think).
We also saw one non-musical event there, a comedy benefit for somebody. My wife was a huge Robin Williams fan and we saw him maybe 4 times do standup before he went Hollywood. This show was him, Dana Carvey (also a local boy), and Jerry Seinfeld, who nobody had ever heard of.
We will understand it better bye and bye.

I take it back---

Smallest "crowd" I ever saw Bobby perform to was at Wolfgangs, SF 4/28/86. There was a healthy crowd for most of the evening when he played with Kingfish and a few other combos, but JGB was playing down the street at 11 pm. The place emptied out around 10:30. Bobby came out with his first solo acoustic set ever to a group of about 25- 50 who stayed for him.

Yeah, it was a tiny bar dive. Best part of this show was that I was staying in the same hotel for a work trip. Bought the ticket, saw the show, took the elevator back to my room. Easiest show ever.

Wetlands w/ Hanson was probably the smallest. We stalked the box office for a ticket drop and were finally rewarded when the show started with 3 $10 tickets. Also House of Blues in Vegas and NOLA.
