How was the sound at pnc? The last two times I was there it sounded so muddy I said I’d never go back.

I heard Trey passed the torch to them, but details are hazy. As much as Rich and Chris are D-Bags, I'd much prefer the Crowes cover of don't do it, but suppose it's cool they are doing it

last night- Goose- don't do it

They’re the boy band of jam bands. Not a fan, and their cover of Don’t Do It blows.

Good musicians though.

I watched a video of the guitar player/singer doing Peggy-O with Bobby, and I was impressed. Then I watched a video of their entire show and I was b-o-r-e-d bored. I'm sorry, not for me.

I think they’re as generic as any band I’ve ever heard, plus that keyboard dude is insufferable.

Geese are far better.

Most of the current "jam bands" leave out one important aspect, good songs. I like a good jam as much as the next guy, but if it's not surrounded by a better than average song, I'd rather just listed to bands that have them.

I dig them a little and they do have some cool songs. Very mid tempo tho

The main thing most of these jam bands are missing is Robert Hunter.

I went to the PNC show. I did not come away impressed and was rather bored. The whole time I felt like "I've read this book before". To me, it's Phish lite. I started listening to them back during the pandemic and I actually like what I heard. But the more I watched some of their videos I went in the other direction. There's just no nuance to me, it's all in your face tension and release type shit. Which is fine but gets old and predictable after a while. Also a bit of the EDM thing going on which doesn't appeal to me. I do like the lead singer's voice. To answer the question on the sound at PNC, not good. I've been to that venue a ton and I've never been a fan of the sound there. I thought the lawn sounded better than where I was in the pavilion.

I saw Goose 2x on the short 8 show November 2022 when they opened for & collaborated with Trey & his TAB band.

While I enjoyed seeing & hearing Goose live both nights I just couldn't bring myself to listen to them after these 2 shows - even tho I had sbds of all 8 of those shows. I mean sure I spot listened to some of the 2 shows that I saw live, but other wise I would check out Acadia or the cover song they typically did each night

I liken it to bluegrass in that I do NOT need to know the band's music catalog to have a good time when I see a bluegrass band live, but I usually don't have a strong desire to listen to that show or any of their catalog

But that's OK & would go see then again if < hour away & a decent ticket price

I ended up giving the Goose sbd cds away

Now TAB on the other hand I could see going on a mini run of TAB shows someday

Just my 2 cents

Saw Goose the 3 times they played at Peach. The first show in 2019 was fun. It was on the Mushroom stage in the afternoon. Always good sound on that stage. Then they graduated to the big top and headlined a night at the last Peach. All three were pretty good. Don't think I would travel to far to see them though.
