Re: Where do you like to park @ The Cap?
I park in the neighborhood away from the surrounding area of the Cap.
Parking use to be a real breeze there, but times a changing. Back in the day we could park in the train lot and go in, then use to be able to park on New Broad Street before the meters but seems all locals take them now. Now I park away from the Cap on like Oak Street or Smith Street and walk, no meters, no issues, homeowner area, been doing it for years, no issues, great to get air before jetting home.
See you there BD

Take an Uber

Yeah right, Like I'd tell you and lose my good spot. No way, I'm not sharing that info!
JK - I've never had a problem parking there. Sometimes it takes longer to find but never a big deal. I've never felt unsafe.

The Costco lot!
Always space, free, super easy, no parking crowds and a short couple block walk to the Cap...

Re: Where do you like to park @ The Cap?
Best place to park is a small municipal lot between Oak and Grove St right off the main drag Westchester Ave. It's the opposite direction that 99% of people park for the Cap and it's a 2 minute walk. The best is it's like a dollar or two depending on the time that you arrive but when walking to the theatre you will pass by a place diagonal from the Cap charging $25 and I'm always saying why are people parking there when they can go to this other town lot a block away and pay a buck or two or nothing depending on the time of day. It's pretty much all locals in this lot as it's near a bunch of restaurants.

Haven't been there in a few years, is that lot directly across the street gone? I would usually stay at the Courtyard and Uber over.

I've used a free garage near the movie theater a few times. Seemed close enough

Down the hill, under the train bridge, take a left. Municipal lot there. It's free. It's always full but I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes before a spot opens up.

^The Costco lot by the gas station is straight instead of left... never a wait for a spot if you don't want to deal with that usually full municipal lot. Same walking distance.
