Denaz was texting last night. They are OK, but all is chaos and Asheville is fucked. As of yesterday afternoon there was a foot and a half of water in the basement. He expects that to get worse.

Asheville is one of my favorite places.
Hoping it can be pieced back together after this disaster.

At court house
Got basement pumped out
No electricity
No cell
Got plenty of food and water”

We fled to Greensboro, where we are staying with friends. The powers is back but the water is still out. Not due back to work until Tuesday, but not looking good so far.

Seeing a lot of pictures of damage and destruction. Wishing everyone affected the best as they clean up and get back on track after this devastating storm.
