kingfish kismet.. i'm listening to an 86 miles show and i see there is a guitarist i've never heard of in the band, Garth Weber.. a little poking around reveals that he was also a member of Kingfish!

i thought this was pretty funny:
Webber on Miles: “He was very bright and intense and liked to play around with people…Once when I was soloing with my eyes closed, I felt something on my foot. I opened my eyes and there was Miles two inches from my face with those big sunglasses on, standing on my foot!”

he gets ALOT of solo time i gotta say. more than any git in an 80s miles lineup that i've noticed. he only played with miles for 3 months. watching the vid, miles seems to like him and he DOES get alot of solos..

I love that Kingfish album (duh!). Always a great band to see live. Jump for Joy is my second favorite song on the album.
We will understand it better bye and bye.

Used to play that Kingfish album in college practically every day. WLIR in Hemphead, NY used to play it a lot too, and did a segment called Segueways. Quite a few people would call in their segueways and pair Hypnotize on the Kingfish album with Eyes of the World.

A favorite of dead cover bands back in the day

Funny the dead never played around with it :shrug
