Condolences to her family. Hopefully, she's enjoying a different type of music right now. We are the lucky ones indeed who have succeeded with ducking.

Such a shock to hear this news. Just when it seemed she was finally starting to enjoy herself again after losing Gigs. My heart aches for her kids, family and friends. I only conversed with her a few times via PM after Gigs passed. What a beautiful soul. I suppose the only thing that eases the loss is knowing she is reunited with her love. Sincere condolences to all who knew and loved her.

Very sad and I know people are hurting. I think she was supposed to go to Aruba this or next week with a .orger who is hurting very much from her passing.

Let's keep those positive vibes going for all of her friends and family.

Words cannot adequately express sadness. It's a mental and physical weight that does not lift without shining in some light. The joy she had and the joy she gave. Her smiles
and laughter. Sharing the bond with thousands of others as we all do at shows. Lucky
enough to be "one in ten thousand who come to the show". That light never dims.
Rest in eternal peace my compadre. Fare thee well! :clap

I and I'm sure many of us are there in spirit...at Trina's service today...

Thought of a few phrases on my way into work today to remember my good friend Trina....

From Scarlet Begonias, song first quoted in PMs...

I knew right away she was not like other girls, other girls...

I had one of those flashes I'd been there before, been there before...

Once in a while you get shown the light
In the strangest of places if you look at it right

Well, there ain't nothing wrong with the way she moves
Scarlet begonias or a touch of the blues
And there's nothing wrong with the look that's in her eyes
I had to learn the hard way to let her pass by, let her pass by

The wind in the willow's playing, 'Tea for two'
The sky was yellow and the sun was blue
Strangers stopping, strangers just to shake their hand
Everybody is playing in the heart of gold band, heart of gold band

And from Uncle John's Band....

He's come to take his children home...

Thinking about Trina, her family and friends this afternoon and evening during the difficult times of visitation hours and the memorial service.

Fare thee well, Trina. May the four winds blow you safely home.

Remembering Trina
Just like a deaf man dancin', Like a blind man shooting pool...

Then he went off sniffing drainpipes
And reciting the alphabet

For those that are interested and couldn't make it...

Catrina's service was beautiful. It was nice to meet so many friends and her family. It was standing room only....

The rooms were FILLED with photographs of Catrina from elementary school up until the present. I can tell you that her beautiful smile was even more striking last night.

The place was filled with gorgeous flowers and arrangements. Almost looked tye-dye when you looked around.

Her family also displayed some of her favorite Grateful Dead and music memorabilia -- (brought many smiles, albeit bittersweet.) They even had some GD music playing softly in the background.

As a testament to her love of music, MANY of the local band members that she often went to see, came to pay their respects. The place was packed with the people that she loved and that truly loved her back.

She will be missed!! :(

Such a beautiful service for a beautiful girl. Gone way to early.
