So sad. I was lucky enough to meet Rob at StrangeCreek festival an attend his morning Bass school instruction course in the morning at that festival. He was a very salt of the earth kind of man. He will be dearly missed. :cry:
In the end, there's still that song!

I saw wasserman for the first time as a player in Lou reeds band during the 80s while Lou was transitioning to his thoughtful intellectual years. Thought wass was the most technically proficient bass player ID ever seen!

Saw a few shows on that first tour and subsequent tours till the end.

When I found out the flying w's were playing a show at the ritz in NYC in the 90s I couldn't buy tix fast enough!

What a great show!!!

Image

Then Bobby tapped him to be the bass player in Ratdog and I caught a huge number of those shows!

Then I didn't see wass until Robyn got sick and he came to Jamaica!!!

Then there was the run with Ratdog and they had Robyn and wass...that was some heavy bottom end fun stuff!!

Rob Wasserman, you will be missed by me.

May you rest in peace!

{{{Wass}}}
the staredowns...The amazing drums & Bass jams 2002 eurodog tour....Shy conversations.
The time I was with my parents & Wass was with his parents and discovering his parents actually lived about a block away from mine. That was strange yet awesome.
The last time I spoke to Rob was in Las Vegas, a few years ago. He was sweet as ever.

I sure am missing the collaborative efforts of Bob, Rob, and Mark's sound. Cheers to the great memories they helped us create. :ratdog
