What a crock of bs the Cassidy firing is!! Ownership here is totally missing in action, and unlike the Celtics or Patriots ownership, they really have no care if their team win or loses. Sweeney is the major issue, not the coach. And get rid of that useless blockhead Neely too. So obvious Sweeney is trying to cover his own ass. Look at the drafts he's been involved in...TOTALLY FUCKING USELESS year after year.
Luck occurs when opportunity meets preparation.
AND LEAVE IT ON!

Lightning regain confidence, even Eastern Final with Game 4 win
Back-to-back champions find their swagger, continue turnaround against Rangers
Rangers have to 'figure out something' to regain control of Eastern Final
Head home after failing to score even-strength goal in Games 3, 4 against Lightning
Rangers forward Filip Chytil left the game in the second period with an upper-body injury after colliding with Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman along the boards. New York was also without forward Ryan Strome, who took the warmup but did not play because of a lower-body injury sustained in Game 3. Gallant said Chytil should be fine and that Strome is day to day.

Re: It's a great day for hockey 2021-2022
Cassidy hired as Golden Knights coach, replaces DeBoer
Fired by Bruins on June 6, guided them to playoffs in each of six seasons
Bruce Cassidy was named coach of the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.
The 57-year-old replaces Peter DeBoer, who was fired May 16 after the Golden Knights (43-31-8) finished three points behind the Nashville Predators for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference. It was the first time the Golden Knights failed to qualify for the postseason since joining the NHL as an expansion team in 2017-18.
Cassidy was fired as coach of the Boston Bruins on June 6 after guiding them to the playoffs in each of his six seasons. The Bruins lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in seven games in the Eastern Conference First Round this season.
"I am excited to join an organization that shares my commitment to winning and can't wait to get to work with the talent that has been assembled in Vegas," Cassidy said. "It's been impressive to watch the city embrace the Golden Knights from afar, and my family and I look forward to becoming a part of that."
The Golden Knights were 98-50-12 in three seasons under DeBoer, who had been hired to replace Gerard Gallant on Jan. 15, 2020.
"His success in Boston over six years is extremely impressive," Golden Knights general manager Kelly McCrimmon said. "His teams have had a clear identity, having been among the very best in the NHL in terms of goals for, goals against, goal differential and special teams. This is the right coach for our team at this time."
Vegas' four-season playoff streak was derailed by injuries and inconsistency this season, with forwards Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty, defenseman Alec Martinez and goalie Robin Lehner among the players to miss extended stretches.
"We've got a 4 1/2-month offseason, which I think is going to be extremely important for our group," McCrimmon said the day DeBoer was fired. "We missed the playoffs, which is humbling for a team no matter what the reasons were for how that happened, and I think what it's going to give us is an opportunity in the fall to be incredibly rested, rehabbed, recharged, excited, and as we went through it, I felt that we could enhance that by having a new voice leading our team into next season. The decision was made based on next year. The decision was not made based on [2021-22]."
Cassidy was 245-108-46 with the Bruins, and 36-37 in the playoffs, including a seven-game loss to the St. Louis Blues in the Stanley Cup Final in 2019. He's 292-155-53 with nine ties in 509 games in eight NHL seasons for the Bruins and Washington Capitals.
"I think [the players] think, like I do, that Bruce is a terrific coach," Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said the day Cassidy was fired. "And I think he'll have a terrific amount of success, as he did here, in his next opportunity. And I think every player would agree with that. He's a terrific coach."
Cassidy is the second coach hired since the conclusion of the regular season; Lane Lambert replaced Barry Trotz for the New York Islanders on May 16. The Bruins, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets each are conducting a search for a coach.
Well, that did not take long
The B's are going to regret this
