Re: New York Rangers 2022/23
hey Vitali
wanna go back to the KHL now
in this league kid...
it's about being available to play
looks to me like you're a bit fragile
and maybe... just maybe management saw that a year ago
and wanted you to get more familiar with the game and
how it's played here; where you can't skate away on larger
ice from a man 40lbs heavier who's going to finish his check

Nice win last night over the flyers
Nov playoff game tight and physical
Igor might be finding his mojo
Let's see if they can build on it

^^^
solid win
showed some good mental toughness in a zero zero tilt
accordingly:
Torts just created a video study on how to bottle up the blue shirts
coming out of our own end and force us to regroup again and again
on the entry to the zone
the Trap still works

Re: New York Rangers 2022/23
Center ice is only 60 bucks this year and the reason it's half off is because you get half the games
Even if I got it, you still can't watch Espn+ games on it
So, to watch all the games you would need to get
The regular sports package from your cable company
NHL center ice
ESPN+
How this is growing the game is beyond me
Instead of making it easier to watch they are making it harder

what a terrible experience
1st - my gripes about ESPN production and directorship are documented
nothing like watching a game flow only to have the orientation changed
and having to re-find the puck and determine the positions of players
so I can see if the defense is in good shape or if a breakaway may ensue
coupled with
sometimes the feed doesn't buffer quite enough and it becomes slightly choppy
hey pssst ESPN... hockey players glide and you can see the digital limitations
easily - coupled with this years' new toy of computer generated side boards
terrible
my wife pays a little extra so there are no commercials on her HULU
I don't watch games during the season in real time for the most part
because I'd rather not listen to in-between period dribble telling me
what I just saw and - if I can skip commercials to bring the time down
to watching a game to about an hour and 45 minutes at the longest... good
but
ESPN+ has something in the signal that does not allow me to skip over the commercials
most of the game I got a graphic that they are in a commercial break and I can resume
fast forward after watching the "commercial" - by the end of the game the graphic
was replaced by actual commercials
on top of that
THE GAME IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN REAL TIME - I looked to see if the commercials were removed
(like they do for handmaids tale) and the game was GONE
I guess I'm not allowed to watch it at my leisure anymore
it's where it's going
over the air / cable / satellite - are dying delivery systems
Sports has found it
if you can't skip commercials anymore - that's they way they want it

You can't win the playoffs in November
But you can lose them
A point is better than none that said the rangers have a lot of work to do

the only thing that is positive
is
that this is fixable
it takes 60 minutes
EVERY NIGHT
back to work children
maybe they are figuring out that there is still much to learn
outside looking in is never the place you want to be in November

Re: New York Rangers 2022/23
just whom do we have in the system to plug into the backup role?
unacceptable
your backup needs to win 10-15 games so you can remain relevant in playoff positioning
I looked at the numbers on Dylan Garand (Hartford) and they are atrocious - under .900 save % (small sample)
Louie Domingue isn't much better - and we know what has to offer (not much more than spot duty)
who the fuck do we have under contract in Europe?????
this has to be addressed now
not at the deadline

Re: New York Rangers 2022/23
Losers Points Suck
the goalie is doing his job
the OT goal seemed to piss him off - I think he felt the breakaway post was a little soft
he hit the post the moment the puck arrived and he kinda sorta created the space to get it in
good goal not doubt - but he thought he had it
the others were a tip and then a deflection off of Schneider's knee
they have trouble with folks who play a fast game
again - no sustained offense of any measure 5x5
at least the power play works
we need a version of Reeves who's about 27 years old and has speed to stay even
and
we still need a backup
