favorite brand and thickness of Guitar pick.
I've been trying some different picks lately.
I only have a couple of acoustic guitars right now, but I like the Clayton triangle picks .08.
What do some of you pickers use ?

I like a heavy Fender pick. I buy the white ones. After a while, you can see them wearing down.

Very recently switched to yellow Tortex (from orange) ... kinda like the stiffer yellow now

I change it up, depending on what I'm doing. I use the big triangular Planet Waves picks, about the thickness of a Fender Heavy, for most of my stuff. When I need to do more speed stuff, I use the really thick little Dunlop jazz picks. On my new record, I even used a sarod jawa, which is a huge, think piece of coconut shell"

I only play acoustic. I finger pick a little, and use nylon Dunlop .73's.

The "medium" seems to suite my needs.
I tried the small Dunlop that I read Bob uses. too small for me.
I got plenty to improve in technique before a different pick is going to make a mark on my playing.

Fender mediums for me. Don't ask me why, but I prefer the red tortoise colored ones. For some reason it seems like I have to toss them less often than the other colored Fender mediums.

For the Jerry stuff, both acoustic and electric, I use the Jerry pick.....Adamas 2mm

Just recently got one of those from a high school friend/new guitar teacher and ended up buying some more. Also have a few Blue Chip picks.BobbyG wrote:For the Jerry stuff, both acoustic and electric, I use the Jerry pick.....Adamas 2mm
