News: RatDog Rocks NYC to Close Spring Tour
RatDog's spring tour closed with the third of three shows at the Beacon: Among the highlights...
* Guests Guests Guests: RatDog welcomed a slew of guests on a variety of instruments in NYC—DJ Logic (turntables) on Thursday; Tom Pope (drums), Josh Roseman (trombone), and Warren Haynes (guitar) on Friday; and John Ginty (keys) on Saturday.
* Ginty: Jay, Jeff, Kenny, and MK, along with Josh Roseman, sat in with the John Ginty Band at their post-show Ace of Clubs show Friday. Among the tunes: Get Back (The Beatles), Why Does Love Got to be So Sad (Derek & the Dominoes), Bird Song > Dark Star, Broken Lines (Ginty), and Calypso (Ginty).
* New from the Dog: RatDog played a new original at each NYC show: Jus' Like Mama Said (3rd time played), Tuesday Blues (2nd time played in full), and Frankie and Johnnie (debut)!
* Trump: Donald Trump... yep, that one... introduced the band prior to the first night's show.
* Fantasy: Congrats to Sambarain, who won spring tour's Fantasy RatDog by 2 points over defending champ unclejohn65.
* Next up: SEVA in Berkeley, Harmony Fest in Santa Rosa, Gathering of the Vibes in NY, and lots more to be announced.
