News: Jus' about two more weeks....
Not too many days til The 'Dog takes to the road, intact, healthy, and rearing to go. RatDog.Org is giving away a pair of tickets to the kickoff in St. Paul, so enter to win if you're heading that way. And don't forget to sign up for Fantasy RatDog.
If you're NYC-bound, Kenny, Jeff, and Jay are playing a post-Beacon show with Alphabet Soup at the Highline Ballroom that Friday, April 4. Tickets are on sale now.
Heading into the touring season, the official site has begun a series of monthly features on the road crew and band, kicking off with an item on the man who makes it sound so friggin good for us, Mike McGinn. They've also started a mailing list, which you can join on the home page.
In other Weir-related news, Wetlands Preserved, a new documentary on the legendary NYC venue, opens Friday, March 14 in NYC and a couple weeks later in LA. It features interviews with Bobby and interviews & music with lots of other names you know. The Wetlands was of course the location of the famed '99 RD3 shows; the first of two RatDog shows to mark the closing of the venue would have taken place three days after 9/11, which of course led to their cancellation.
