News: A busy fall season is ahead in the Land of RatDog....
Bob, Rob, and Jay are Scaring the Children Again
The Weir-Wasserman-Lane trio played a special show at the Brooklyn Bowl on Friday night with Joe Russo sitting in on a few tunes. The unique setting - and delay due to the Yankees game - created a memorable night as Scaring the Children played its first east coast show in nearly a decade. Find the complete setlist and a bunch of photos.
RatDog Philly-NYC Run Coming on Strong
RatDog's only fall shows - two nights at the Tower, 2 nights at the Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom, and 3 nights at the Beacon - are just a few days away. Friday night, the first night at the Tower, marks Bobby's 62nd birthday. The last two Beacon shows are sold out, but tickets are still available for the other shows. [Links and Info]
At Least I'm Enjoying the Ride
Graphic artist John Warner has created a really cool shirt design on behalf of RatDog.Org. Proceeds help cover the costs of running RatDog.Org and we appreciate the support, but beyond that we think you'll agree it's a really sweet looking shirt regardless of the part the sales play in keeping .Org running. The shirt is available now.
Furthur Tri-State Mini-Tour Set for December
Furthur—Bobby and Phil's new band that features Jay and Jeff along with DSO's John Kadlecik and Benevento/Russo Duo's Joe Russo—has five shows set for December: two in NYC, one in Connecticut, and two in Asbury Park. The NYC shows and one of the Asbury shows are sold out; tickets remain for the other two dates. For complete info and for setlists, photos, and audio from the September Furthur shows, visit OtherOnes.Net.
Kenny Brooks Lighting Up SF and NYC This Fall
In addition to RatDog's fall run, Kenny B has a bunch of shows scheduled for fall. In the midst of the NYC RatDog shows he has a late night show scheduled at Rockwood Music Hall with Dred Scott and Chuck MacKinnon. He's also got a bunch of shows with Alphabet Soup and various jazz configurations set for New York and San Francisco throughout the fall. For a complete list visit Kenny's MySpace or the tour dates page.
MK's "Walk through the Fire" Featured in Relix
Mark Karan's new CD, "Walk through the Fire," has gotten rave reviews. It's #3 on the Jambands radio chart and is the subject of a new story in Relix. Check out the article and find where to download or buy the CD at WalkThroughTheFire.com.
RatDog Daze 2010 Drawing Closer
It's thankfully getting closer and closer but there's still lots of time to nail down plans for RatDog's Jamaica shows this winter. RatDog is taking over the Breezes Grand Negril, where the band will play several shows over two weeks in a wonderfully unique environment. Those of us escaping from the cold of winter to the tropics have a helluva time in store! Learn more and make your reservations.
