What a rainy day it was... bad driving conditions all the way to Nashville. But as soon as we walked into the Ryman the sun was indeed shining. What a beautiful place for a show, especially since this was my first RatDog experience. The boys came out and after the Bass/Drums went right into Jack Straw, one of my all time favs. I was almost in tears with excitement. Bird Song, Odessa, and then into Little Red Rooster and Bobby was tearing the slide up on that one. Then the plae went bonkers when the boys broke into Tennessee Jed since we were in Tennessee and all kinda seemed fitting. Next was a jam that leaned back toward Bird Song; West L.A. Fadeaway was great. DJ Logic really stood out during this one... totally amazing. The first set closed with Scarlet Begonias. That one let everybody know we were in for a treat of a second set.

20 minutes later, here we go again. Only this time Bobby is playing an acoustic. The set opens with K.C. Moan then into El Paso. Honestly I didn’t care for this tune until I heard it live. Now I can’t hear it enough. Next was New Speedway Boogie. Okay, here is where it really got good... Samson and Delilah shook the roof off of the Ryman. I tell you that place was actually rumbling. Then we went into Bass and Drums, allowing DJ Logic to really show his stuff. We were dancin our bones off. Standing on the Moon and Two Djinn and closing with Throwing Stones, another unexpected Bobby tune. Wow, what a night, but it wasn’t over yet. The boys came back to give us Brokedown Palace and at one point you could have actually heard a pin drop. Kinda one of those unexplainable moments. Play on Bobby; we will be listening. Weir everywhere!!!!!!
