The sky was clear, the air was warm, the crowd was brimming with enthusiasm, and Bobby and the boys pumped out the love and raised the entire crowd to a new high. When he played Eyes of the World and then Standing on the Moon I turned around to see what the band's view was, and the crowd was beaming with joy, and the Atlanta skyline was so beautiful all lit up. I had a smile on my face so wide I was like a 5 year old who was just given a big swirlie lollie pop.

Then to top it all off Bobby came out during Gov't Mule and played Little Red Rooster with Warren, and they traded riffs and then their interwoven jams raised Mule to new levels. Wow, what a nite. Great Show, Great Venue... well worth the trip.

Great show! Amazing what Ace can do with only one set. The new guy on bass held his own and even gave some in the deep rhythm grooves. Very nice. Incredible sequence of tunes with Women, Ashes, Eyes, Standing, Sugar Mag/SSDD.

What a show. The guys had the whole place up and rocking. What a fabulous mix of tracks too. I don't think there is any doubt in my mind that Bob and Ratdog were the outstanding turn of the Festival. It was my first Music Midtown, but it certainly won't be my last. Let's hope the guys get many many more invitations to play there again. The bonus for me of course is that they tour the UK this summer...woooooohooooooo!!!
