Reviews

Just came back from this show--my first time seeing Ratdog. Amazing show. Lupos was packed to the brim and rockin! Bobby played an amazing Terrapin, two great covers (The Weight and Knockin on Heaven's Door), and an epic China>Rider with the bari xax. Plus the Golden Road, who can forget that? Touch of Grey was just the encore I was looking for... really felt the groove. All in all, it was an absolutely amazing show, and I can't wait to see them again next time they come by.

'What a great show' is all I can say. The Strand is one of my favorite indoor venues. The show started out with a funky jam; about 3/4 of the way through I said, "Hey we might get a Shakedown!" That would be my only call of the night. The She Belongs to Me was unexpected for me, but beautiful and well-played. Minglewood got the place rocking again in its usual fashion... "couple more shots of whiskey... those Rhode Island fillies start looking good!!" Lucky Enough and Tennessee Jed slowed it down a bit with Tennessee Jed being quite the sing-along. The Golden Road just plain out rocked... good to see Bobby singing it, doing Jerry proud. City Girls was sweet and The Weight was just the killer.... Great song... Played well.... The rest of the setlist pretty much speaks for itself.... Lost Sailor > Saint of Circumstance > Lady with a Fan > Terrapin > Jam* > Knockin on Heaven's Door > China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider, E: Touch of Grey. Just purely awesome.... Ratdog at its best--a well-oiled ass kicking machine.... Of note is that there was to my ears a really strong He's Gone tease before the Lady with a Fan. You listen and be the judge on that one. Awesome, killer whopper of a show.... Great setlist and every song sounded great! I couldn't have been any happier!!!

Ths show was a very fine outing. My reviews I like to keep positive, and thankfully that is what most shows are. However, Lupos was a strange venue and my first time there and my feedback is mixed due to the venue, not Ratdog.

No dancing allowed in the balcony?!?!?!?! The rule was no standing up.... The place was also waaaay oversold and very crowded. The set list was very nice--Shakedown, China>Rider, Terrapin, She Belongs to Me, to name a few--but the one-set show was sort of a bummer.

The sound was good, I saw some old friends, and best of all, I was front row for the first set and it rocked! Bobby looks and sounds great. Saw Northampton and The Beacon in NYC and this was the best show thus far, even though it was one set and there were weird rules, which are only found on the east coast, like "no standing up in the balcony."

Overall a very swell dance party. Way to go Bobby!

Good show all in all. Great shakedown opener. A little dissapointed with only one set and a "grey" encore. Anyway, we love you Bobby.
