You know, ol' Bob strained to sing, blew his lines and his guitar, which he kinda strummed, couldn't be heard in the mix.

Whatever.

It was a great time- I met some great folks, danced and was thankful that Bob Weir was out there carrying the flame. The Ratdog boys were HOT, even if it was all stuck in some sort of one speeed granny gear. Like I said, I danced, the 50 something hippies nexet to me danced, and the 20 something rasta tatoo groovers behind me danced.

This was a good solid show. For me, the set list was not stellar but the music was great! Mark was rippin from start to finish, in fact the whole band sounded good and seemed to be having fun. The Britt is a great venue and I sure hope that we will back there next year. Some people might say that this was a mellow show which is ok because that really sums up the experience. This venue is beyond mellow. If you weren't having a good time then you must not have been trying. As Bobby said "this must be heaven".

Apologies for a second post, but after the fact I recalled a salient observastion: more than once I saw groups of women discussing the fact that Mssr. Weir was wearing pants instead of legs.

My friend and I agree that Mr. Weir looked just fine in those pants:)

Awesome show- I loved the setlist and my old deadhead friends and I were dancing away. Bobby got better as the night wore on- some highlights were the Minglewood, Bertha and Lost Sailer- for me at least. It really was heaven dancing to that great playing under the stars on a hot summer night.

I hope they come back!

Of the three shows I caught this summer, Eugene, Seattle, and Jacksonville, this was by far the best of the three. Excellent setlist, inspirational playing, and an incredible venue. I was eye to eye with mark all night long.

And as far as the tempo. One of the most inspired Ratdog shows I've ever heard. Even clipped at 93db.

Of the three shows I was able to catch, Eugene, Seattle and Jacksonville, it was by far the best. Bobby took time to sing from the heart. Beautiful show and a thoughtful setlist.

Awesome show! I thought I was twenty years old again and it was the early 70's. The band sounded great and the setlist was perfect. The Brit is cool, come back next year guys.

Very cool - I'm glad everybody had a great time, and the band was rockin'. The Britt is a wonderful venue.

The SoCal shows were incredible as well, and we're looking forward to the last 2 shows of the tour in San Jose.

Keep comin' back for more.

I have been seeing bobby since 72 and this show was spot on. I do however think age and the road is beginning to take its toll on him in some ways i know it has on me and i am 10 years younger! Compared to the last show i saw at The roseland this was fairly mellow, but compared to Eugene, which i will say was fair at best (mule rocked it) this show rocked.
The tempo was upbeat and fast paced, the set list was most enjoyable, Lost sailor, Bertha, BOBBY MCGEE and a most excellent minglewood!!
Did anyone notice that the jam was "the Other One"? to bad they did not roll that one out for us! I am pissed that i missed the Race is on! what a great tune!
The venue was most excellent with a very unusual crowd in attendance...i loved it when the chick next to me asked if i would be ok driving , due to the huge amounts of ganj i inhale, what can i say it's for the arthritis! i just had to laugh!
I drove from portland town to jacksonville in 3 1/2 hours and got to venue just an hour before the boys took the stage. Sat right up front like always and had a real good time! Bobbys Guitarwork was excellent with him and Mark trading jams, love the slide bob! But please turn up your volume when you play lead riffs!! You are a much better guitarist than folks give you credit for! and after the show ended i drove all the way back home and crawled into bed at 3am. What a great way to spend a 51st bday! Thanks Bobby and Ratdog! and what a great venue!
Now if only Phil would come back this way.........oh and i would really like to see kruetzmans new band i hear they are pretty good and lord knows no one bangs the skins like old Billy!

Perfect night, great venue, gorgeous view and Bobby singing- it was wonderful. Went alone and danced on a picnic table in the back. Though only for a few hours I forgot about life for awhile.........Thanx Bobby! I hope you know how deep your music touches people.

Well most people think, oh your to young to know the Grateful Dead or that my parents are the ones who made me a Dead Head, but I came to the Dead myself and love them! This was a awsome show with getting Bobby's Autograph and being right up front face to face with him.. With all the crap that has been goig on lately in my life this took me away from reality for a while and let myself enjoy the night dancing to the good all tunes and my dear friend.

What a great venue! As the sun began to set, the band set to playing.

Now, I haven't been to a show in a long while, but when the band started singing "Here Comes Sunshine" the vocals seemed way off key. I thought, Oh boy, it's going to be one of those nights.

Nothing to fear. The music emanating from the bands fingers became immaculate! The tunes got tighter and the vocals got much better.

Yeah Bobby blew some lines, and it was hard to hear his riffs, (love it when he grabs the slide) the lighting guys were a little off too. But, what the heck, it seemed like old times. Can't create perfect. ..it just happens.

I laughed when passer bys' mentioned Bobby was wearing pants...I laughed when some lines were blown...I laughed...!

And, I danced! Danced cause the groove was there...live. You want to know how the show was? We laughed and we danced! It was good show!

And, long after the band left town, when we sit and ponder the unveiling of that beautiful evening, with a wry grin that often breaks to a chuckle. We tap our toes, perchance to dance.

I WENT TO HIGH SIERRA LAST NIGHT AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS GREAT, BUT MAYBE JACKSONVILLE MIGHT EVEN HAVE BEEN BETTER!!FOR ME!, THE SETLIST FLOORED ME PLENTY OF RATDOG FIRST TIMES FOR ME,THOUGH I HAVE SEEN THM MANY MANY TIMES [LOST SAILOR-SAINT, BOOK OF RULES,DIRE WOLF,YOU WIN AGAIN,ME AND BOBBY MCGEE,MASTERS OF WAR,SHIP OF FOOLS AND THE ONE I BEEN WAITING FOR FOREVER MY FAVORITE DEAD SONG EVER RIPPLE !!!!AND AS ALWAYS THANK YOU FOR A REAL GOOD TIME!! SEE YOU AT REDROCKS IF THEY ARE NOT SOLD OUT..AW THAT NEVER STOPPED ME BEFORE,SEE YA!!!

Are you kidding me? The show was fantastic! So what if Bob slips up on a line once in a while (like anyone else out there's perfect), at least the guy et all are up there putting it out. Great set list if 'ya ask me. Loved Kenny blowing his horn, Jeff tickling the ivories, Jay segueing the band into Ship of Fools and even seeing Robin smiling he dug the evening so much. It's been so long since hearing Bertha. Mark did a bang up job with lead. What a treat. In my opinion, Weir really sang Me and Bobby McGee with his whole heart and soul. The show had it all for kindred spirits. Ramble on Rose was right from a light'in storm in Colorado in that the hair on my back stood up straignt and tingled. Best Ship of Fools heard from local heads I heard and feedback from crowd on Not Fade Away was strong.
Listening to Ripple had silent echo's from departed ones to end the evening. Like days of yore the night was cathartic. I feel bad for any cyclopic ingrateful who can't appreciate "RAD" DOG.
