Reviews
Bob never made it out. Band did a great job and really seemed to enjoy themselves once they got their groove going.
George Cole, Henderson
Interesting show and a very odd night. The audience was informed that Bob had some health issues and was advised against performing this evening. We had hoped it was some kind of joke, but unfortunately was not. Under what had to be tremendous pressure, Ratdog came out and played the entire set with Jay Lane on vocals. He was provided with lyric sheets to songs with lyrics that he was unaccustomed to singing. He joked that after playing 20 years with Ratdog, he still didn't know a lot of the lyrics. Overall he did an outstanding job, never taking a break until it was over. Jeff Chimenti was absolutely on fire, Steve Kimock held his own playing some unfamiliar guitar parts reserved for Bobby and dealing with some slight sound probs, Rob Wasserman rocked the house and Robin Sylvester was present and thumping but with a slight presentation of disinterest. Ticket holders were offered a full refund and a free Kenny Wayne Shepherd ticket (which is of little interest to me) so in essence, the band performed around 2 1/2 hours for free. All in all, it was a good performance that had some interesting moments, evoking some past positive memories of Ratdog and Grateful Dead experiences. However there was a huge part missing; the part; Bob Weir. Bob, whatever ailment you are experiencing, may it be behind you soon and may you come back stronger than you were.
VonHellski, Las Vegas
thanks for the review, VonHellski. We are all going to Humphreys tonight, if they don't cancel it. the Santa Barbara Bowl show was absolutely awesome and fantastic.
Ben Anderson, Burlingame
I sure hope he's better today - my wife and I have tickets for tonight's show at Humphrey's.
Bill, San Diego

I can remember telling this girl in chicago earlier that year that i thought it was great that bob had all his old-time trusted friends up there on stage with him on that tour and they sure as hell did not let him down that night in las vegas. it was some real p.t. barnum kind of shit. i've never been prouder of rock-and-roll than i was of that night.
