I'm in shock, I thought he was doing so much better. New girlfriend, so much pride in his kids, he was birding and taking pictures again....I thought he had a new lease on life. Maybe he did, and he didn't die the way I'm imagining.

Fuck Chris, I'm really going to miss you

RIP cstar

He always showed me kindness

I remember the first time I met him at DelFest, I looked at him and said, “I thought you were a firefighter”

We both got a great laugh out of that.

I remember the very first RambleOrgRose, it was late night and Chris and I were hanging in the barn. Me with my acoustic and he and his mandolin. I remember we jammed out for like 15 minutes on Wish You Were Here. I don't think either of us attempted vocals, just a nice little instrumental jam that was really fun.

This is truly heartbreaking. I have so many great memories with Chris. Such a brilliant man with so many great talents. He left me a voicemail about a month ago which was just him playing some tunes on his mandolin for a few mins. I’m glad I have that little piece of him now. My heart goes out to his kids and his family.
Sleep in the stars Chris. I will miss you.
Ive got a dream. Its about singing dancing and making people happy. Its the kind of dream that gets better the more people you share it with. I've found a whole bunch of friends who have the same dream. And, well, it kind of makes us like a family.~Kermit

Rest in Peace, friend. I will hold onto my great memories of him from shows in Baltimore and NYC.

Sad news indeed.

My condolences to Chris' family and friends.

Peace...it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work, it means to be in the midst of those things and still be Calm in your Heart.
