The Pens as a threat to win are done
They gambled on another contract for Malkin and didn't really add much

I've haven't seen them "give up" like that since they wore the powder blue

nice to see the trap game taken care of

<<
heard Malkin say he thinks the Rangers are the best in the league right now
I don't listen to the pundits much - relying on my eyes to decide what is good bad or ugly
but my attention is gained when it is a player who says such things - the players always know :-

would be nice to see the boys slap around the candy canes and possibly move up a little
if we can get home ice on the devils -- huge advantage

The canes are a different team without Svechnikov
But still a very good team and not to be taken lightly
2 tough games ahead :-
And a team you might meet in the playoffs
Plant the message :-k

can't win them all

we did not get pushed around :?
and
again a defensive mistake ultimately ends up in the back of the net

I felt there could have been a tripping call on that sequence leading to the 3rd goal

1st game with full compliment of "regulars" in a month
welcome back 55

Nice pair of games

playoff intensity while both teams "tried" to make it just another game for points in the standings
:clap :clap

23 had the game winning goal on 3-23-23

we should put 55 in bubble wrap until the playoffs

[-X [-X [-X [-X

not a good look almost giving back a three goal lead in the 1st

the defense at the beginning of the game looked like a sieve

](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Igor looked annoyed at his defense on a couple of stoppages

paging # 55

we need that presence on the back end

It's really like game 1 of the series

That does not count :-

Let's hope no one gets hurt

ok - 55 is back
he says he's ready and rested - so all the other defensemen can
play with whom they're supposed to - thank you to 5
your service is noted and has been appreciated - but there is a reason you are
usually the healthy scratch - we weathered the storm of injury pretty well
at least we didn't blow our position - perhaps we could have improved
but... you can't win them all and all I want is 16 wins
when it counts the most --

really hoping boston gets whittled down before we would see them

:-k :-k
don't really know what the true take away was from last nights' game with the Bolts

truly a game amped up to playoff speed and intensity
looked like teams who have met before for some big stakes
good pace and snarl
WTF was that poking Shesty in the groin - after the play was LONG OVER

we battled / we became a gang who had one another's back

BUT
we blew yet another 3 goal lead in a big game

hey boys
isn't it an easier process to play without having to chase it?

move on

I hope that the Trouba thing is only a concussion protocol
we'll see later
he didn't seem to be laboring when he left the ice

](*,) ](*,) :rant :rant :rant ](*,) ](*,)

=;
This is not PLAYOFF HOCKEY!!!

you had an opportunity to realistically get a home ice in the 1st round
and...
the outside shot at the division too

ARE YOU GOING TO WIN FUCKING ANYTHING?

AGAIN
we have a goalie we cannot rely upon to close out a game by himself
no knock on the kid
but... he's not Mariano Rivera and he doesn't channel the King (in his prime) =;

unless we outscore people we can get bounced quickly 'cause I don't see an
effective grind game

oh yeah
I forgot

This is going to be a tough 1st round :-

The rangers give up too many goals and the devils can fill the net :-

We shall see.......

The predictions are out and it's not looking good for the rangers :-

But the game is played on ice not paper.

yup
If we're looking to Vessey, Mott and Goodrow to be the sandpaper to grind out games
then
we are small and WILL get pushed around
