Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in thier shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you'll be a mile away & have thier shoes.

Yeah, that's Kimock in the green hat, sitting down with the steel at first. Check out his ridiculous solo from about 7 minutes on in the first part. Standing right there while he was doing it was one of the highlights of my entire musical life. The place went absolutely insane.

Every tune from that show is up on youtube, btw. Just click on my username there.

I appreciate that, but Kimock is a world apart, believe me. He's been a great teacher, for sure, and some had to rub off over 35ish years, but trust me, the dude is at a depth of ideas and technique that I'll never come close to touching. Where you really see it is when you're just sitting around at home with him--when he does public stuff, he's very edited, doesn't believe in flash for flash's sake. When you just sitting around with him, the dude sound like Pat Martino playing blues.

You can always 'hang' with him electronically--he's got a discussion forum (I'm the mod) that he contributes to frequently:

http://online-discussion.dhenderson.com/SteveKimock

He's also always on the big gear page under his own name:

http://www.thegearpage.net/board/

He's always willing to answer questions, and has even invited guys to get together before his shows, andeven to get together at his place.
